This is What Christopher Lives For:

Personalization Goes a Long Way!

Inspired by the heroic life of Christa McAuliffe, Christopher Geis, with the support of his wife Linda (Macie) Geis, founded the Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences (CMASAS) in 2009 to address a select group of students who needed more personal attention.

CMASAS is an online, private K-12 school whose mission is to form confident, caring leaders and passionate lifelong learners who explore infinite possibilities, achieve their dreams, and Touch the Future! Many CMASAS alumni have gone on to top-tier universities, and have become professional athletes, dancers, musicians, Olympians, physicians, and leaders in their communities.

Headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, CMASAS is an accredited online school with a community of students from around the globe, representing 31 different countries. The school uses a Personalized Education Model to fit the needs of today’s generation. Seasoned online professionals help to foster a sense of community where new ideas can take root and grow more easily… where innovation is welcomed and applauded.

Every student has their own Personalized Education Plan (PEP) and is assigned a dedicated and experienced online Personalized Education Coach (PEC) and Course Instructor (CI), who provide one-on-one personalized attention to help guide students in their course planning, organizational skills, course curriculum, and fulfillment of graduation requirements. Families love the flexibility of schedule and the ability to shape the classes to address students’ interests and learning styles.

Executive Director Christopher Geis and his wife Linda were married at Mission San Diego de Alcala in 1999 and currently split time between Chula Vista and Princeville, Kauai. From serving on the St. Rose School Council and St Catherine’s Parish Finance Council to being involved in various parish organizations such as the Italian Catholic Federation, Knights of Columbus, St. Rose Men’s and Women’s Retreats, St. Williams’ food pantry in Hanalei, and Cursillo, they have been actively involved in both communities over the years. Christopher and Linda have enjoyed Whispering Winds through attending and working on St. Rose Retreats and Cursillo weekends. “We feel blessed to have an opportunity to give back and support the camp’s growth and mission,” says Christopher Geis.
