At Whispering Winds Catholic Conference Center, the safety of our guests and staff is paramount. While we strive to prevent emergencies, we maintain a comprehensive Emergency Mitigation Plan to address a wide range of scenarios, including wildfires, earthquakes, medical incidents, intruders, and missing persons.
Our staff is trained annually—more frequently when needed—to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations. We conduct safety briefings with all campers and guests upon arrival to ensure awareness and preparedness.
Whispering Winds is designated as Julian’s Community Resource Center (CRC) through a partnership with SDG&E, serving as a key hub for first responders during regional emergencies. Our close coordination with local fire and law enforcement agencies ensures timely communication and response.
All staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid, reinforcing our commitment to a safe and secure environment for all who visit.
