How do I begin the reservation process?
Complete our online rental inquiry form, or call our office at 619-464-1479. We will ask you the information on the inquiry form.
How much of a deposit is required? When is it due?
We require a 25% deposit for your minimum guaranteed number of people. Contracts are sent approximately 6 months prior to your arrival date; the deposit is due with the signed contract 30 days later.
What kind of retreats do you host?
We host groups from all over Southern California and Arizona for youth, confirmation, parish ministries, families, corporate retreats, etc.
Does my group have to be Catholic to come to Whispering Winds?
No, all groups are welcome!
What is included in the standard rate?
Lodging, meals, 1 meeting space per group, and most amenities. The challenge course and pool are additional and require advanced booking. Expecting 130+ people? Check out our Exclusive Use option!
May I rent out the whole camp?
Yes, check out our Exclusive Use option.
Do you have a pool? How much does it cost?
Yes. The pool rate is $150 per day. Groups need to provide their own certified lifeguards.
How do I reserve the Challenge Course?
Please let us know on the reservation inquiry form or when calling about your reservation. The Challenge Course is not always available and requires advanced booking. Learn more about our zip lines.

May I have a tour of the camp?
Yes, please contact our Camp Director Annie Korn, at annie@whisperingwinds.org.
What forms do I need to bring to camp?
All guests entering Whispering Winds need to bring a completed waiver.
What is the insurance requirement?
We require comprehensive general liability insurance with a combined single limit for personal injury and property damage of not less than $1,000,000.
Will my group be the only one at camp?
Not necessarily – sometimes we host more than one group at a time. You will know in advance which meeting space you will have and how many lodging rooms you have been assigned.
How far in advance do I need to book?
ASAP – dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We can put date inquiries on our calendar over a year in advance.
How is the food?
Whispering Winds has a talented Chef on site who serves delicious meals. We can handle most dietary restrictions; please let us know as soon as possible if anyone in your group is a vegetarian, eats gluten-free, etc.
May I bring my own food?
Yes. If you are tent camping or staying in an RV, you may bring your own food and stoves. If you are staying in rooms, you may bring your own food and rent our Village Kitchen.

What’s the weather like?

When is the Camp Store open?
We will open the Camp Store for you upon advance request. Available hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, every day.
Do you have a priest on site?
No, but we can recommend some local priests that you may contact.
Do you have a sacristy on site?
No. We ask priests to bring their own mass kits.
What sacramental elements are available for guests to use?
We have a portable tabernacle (upon request), portable altar, holy water font, processional crucifix, and monstrance.
How fast does the zip line go?
Approximately 2 miles/hour—although it feels MUCH faster!
Where does your funding come from?
Rental fees and donations from the community.
Does staff live on-site?
Some camp staff live on site year-round and some are at camp seasonally.
