PURPOSE

The Ambassador Program was developed to enable Whispering Winds to keep Parishes, Schools and supporters of the camp connected to Whispering Winds. This program seeks to keep every Parish and School informed as to the opportunities and benefits of a Catholic Camp and Conference Center serving Southern California, and how each can more fully utilize this facility to promote the Catholic Christian message of the Church.

WHAT IS AN AMBASSADOR?

First and foremost, and Ambassador is an “Ambassador for Christ,” someone committed to the message of Jesus and the spreading of the Good News. Secondly, an Ambassador is a supporter of Whispering Winds as an environment to let God do His good work with each of us.

Ambassadors should be individuals or couples that have been to Whispering Winds and experienced one or more of our programs. Ambassadors can also be members of Cursillo, the Women’s Auxiliary or other support groups and committees of Whispering Winds. Ambassadors are considered leaders within their own Parishes, Schools or centers of influence. Lastly, an Ambassador is someone who has a good relationship with their Pastor or Principal.

WHAT DOES AN AMBASSADOR DO?

Ambassadors have a number of duties and responsibilities to Whispering Winds and to their Parish or School. Some of these duties are:

1. To notify the Parish of all Whispering Winds events through the Parish Bulletin and through announcements

2. To inform Parish organizations of the opportunities to use Whispering Winds as their Catholic Conference Center

3. To inform the Parish school of opportunities to use Whispering Winds for school functions such as 6th Grade Camp, Kids Camp, retreats and Challenge Courses

4. To gather contact information for Whispering Winds supporters

5. To stay informed about new developments of Whispering Winds

6. To inform Whispering Winds of any input or ideas on how we can continually offer a better experience


HOW DO I BECOME A WHISPERING WINDS AMBASSADOR?

You can become an Ambassador by filling out the form and submit your information to the Whispering Winds office. There can be a maximum of two Ambassadors at each Parish. You will be sent all of our current marketing materials along with the schedule for the camp. Your Ambassador Kit will include Posters, Brochures, Newsletters, and other marketing materials.

WHAT DOES WHISPERING WINDS DO FOR ITS AMBASSADORS?

Whispering Winds Ambassadors receive a number of benefits for their hard work:

A Special Ambassador Appreciation Weekend at Whispering Winds with the Board of Directors. The Board will host a special reception in honor of the Ambassadors with special recognition for outstanding service. There will be a special meeting of the board to hear suggestions and ideas from all of the Ambassadors. An Ambassador is a representative of their Parish or School at these meetings and carry the input and suggestions of their community.

1. Ambassadors will receive a $75 voucher to be used towards 2007 Summer Programs including Family Camp & Kids Camp.

2. Ambassadors are the first to know.

3. Come join our Ambassador program and help us make a difference.
